Created originally by artist Saul Steinberg in the 1950's and discovered in the Schumacher archives as an original Greeff print, this whimsical cotton table print features a fanciful opera house complete with figures and flying angels. Steinberg's illustrative style is evident here, as well as his love of opera, for which he designed stage sets for many years. Reproduced in a scale very close to the original, but translated into a 70" wide print, the colorations feature a soft sky blue background, and also a graphic black, red and alabaster combination. This new design adds to our collection of this artist's fabric and wallcovering prints, which include Views of Paris, Trains, Aviary and Horses.
