This floral, leafy chintz comes from a circa-1870 fragment of fine cotton with a stripe of charming blooms and moire detailing?a supreme example of Victorian textile art and one of the stars of our archives. Our modern interpretation expands the scale of the pattern with generous poppies, peonies, and roses trailing along a thick stripe repeat. With a faux moire edging, it is perfectly poised for the fashionable resurgence of chintz. Porcelain combines layers of pale blues while Gris marries understated gray tones with light greens.
