Maharajah Silk Velvet features an all-silk velvet pile that is created using a chine process, in which the velvet warp yarns are hand dyed in different shades and then woven to create a random vertical striation of color. The natural luster of the fine silk yarns enhances the rich palette of hues, in deep moss green, spice orange, clear blue and silvery taupe. This exquisitely woven silk velvet adds a luxurious note to the collection, complementing the exotic colorations of the prints and embroideries.
